Are you using RDRAM? If yes, dual channel or single channel? And, last but not least, is the RAM bus running at 800 or 600 MHz? Your value of 450K nodes/sec might suggest a PIII800/Xeon with a dual channel RDRAM bus running at 800 MHz. - But once again, a Xeon with 256 L2 appears not to be much faster than a PIII/800 "standard". If your system is using SDRAM running at 133 MHz, I would be really surprised.
