At 40/2 Rebel 8 rejects Qxc7 in 12". At 1:56 it plays the correct d7-d5.
I read your original post to highlight Qxc7 as the blunder. Others
thought
0-0 was bad also, but like you I believe 0-0 will win easily. Actually
when I set up Rebel 8 at 40/2 it at first likes 0-0 but then it finds
the
Nxc7 reply for white in the search and continues a longer think. It
finally
decides to play d7-d6 (CSTal plays this also) at around the 9 minute
mark.

Back to the d7-d5 move. It looks like Genius, according to those who are
posting, plays this the quickest.
