I thought both your and Dann's positions were both correct: 1) Deep Jr is GM strength and 2) there is no statistical data to prove this. I tend to be like you and think that if it swims like a fish, breathes like a fish, smells like a fish, and tastes like a fish, then it's probably a fish. Most people do not understand the enormous feat it is for a GM to draw a super GM, let alone draw multiple super GMs. And for so many super GMs to study Deep Jr's weaknesses (via Junior 6) and not defeat it says something as well (and for those of you who do not believe that every single GM in the tournament did not spend days preparing for the one game that they should have had a good chance of winning, I have some land in Florida for you). But, Dann said nothing incorrect in reiterating that there is not enough data to prove this. However, like many people in the world, I take certain things on faith. One thing I take on faith is that if one person makes an unprovoked attack upon another, then the person doing the attacking is probably in the wrong. It's unfortunate that you are leaving so that you cannot agree with me on the things we agree on and disagree with me on the things that we do not. But I am curious why: 1) You decided to leave over something so petty and 2) You decided to flaunt your leaving to the entire forum. But, I guess I will never know the answers to those questions. C'est la vie. Time to go back to my program. Or maybe I'll go off and have a chat with Dann. KarinsDad :)
