The CCC was down again overnight (morning in Europe) as it has been for 4 of the last 5 nights and a couple of hours during the day on Monday. Our server has indicated that they believe it is the Perl script that we have modified to create our version of the CCC. We believe it is the server's hardware. However, to get to the bottom of the problem because this is not pleasant for CCC members in addition to all the people who can not get through to our Your Move site and the Web Computer Chess Reports, we have hired an independent programmer to investigate. We are hoping to put an end to the down time very, very shortly. From the increasing number of members and the ever increasing number of hits, it looks as if many of you are putting up with the problems, and it is time we rewarded your dedication with a bug free site to visit. You have my word that we are working VERY hard to accomplish that goal. Thanks for hanging in there.
