Hello Roy,
I think you had maybe better try installing another copy of the Crafty 17.11 zip
file? Or check if Fritz has the wrong path after all. With Crafty 17.11 as
compiled by Dann Corbit and running under ECTool 6.0 I get the same scores as
Sarah does and they are different from yours.. It would seem that you have
another version than 17.11 running? This is part of Crafty's own logfile on my
Celeron 500MHz. Maybe if you happen to have ECTool you could check if you get
something similar. With Crafty analyzing unfortunately ECTool can't pass an EPD
string to it yet, it must be those difficult pipes instructions under Windows
again. But running the pgn file from ChessBase, thanks for their extensive
coverage on http://www.chessbase.com/dortmund2000_intro.html, that works fine
with Crafty under ECTool.
