Depth 14 of Junior does not mean 14 half moves.
Quiet moves are counted as depth 2 and not quiet moves are counted as depth 1.

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 may be counted as depth 6.
e4 is depth 2
e5 is depth 2
Nf3 is not a quiet move (threat e5) so it is depth 1
Nc6 is not quiet move (defend e5) so it is also depth 1.

I am not sure about the definition of quiet moves but I know that this is the
idea behind the depth of Junior.
