We are planning to take nominations for the three soon-to-be-open posts of CCC Moderator. In order for a nomination to be valid, we need certain rules and regulations followed: 1) Members in good standing for AT LEAST 3 months may nominate UP TO 3 other members. 2) All nominations must be emailed to yourmove@icdchess.com 3) No nomination posted on the CCC board will be considered valid. 4) All nominations received MUST be accompanied by an active and accurate email address for the nominee AND nominator 5) All nominees must have been a CCC member in good standing for AT LEAST 3 months 6) A nomination will only be considered valid if it comes from a CCC member in good standing for AT LEAST 3 months 7) No one who has ever been banned or suspended from CCC is permitted to run for moderator or nominate another member 8) All nominees, if they accept the nomination, must present, if requested, proof of name and address (this information will not be made available to the membership at large but will be supplied to the current moderators) 9) You may not nominate yourself It is HIGHLY recommended that you notify anyone being nominated so that they know they are being nominated and may prepare an autobiological statement and statement of moderation philosophy. If any of the rules above is not followed, the nomination will be deemed invalid. Once the nominations are over, we will email those people who have been nominated and ask them to prepare a short autobiography and a statement of moderation philosophy. Shortly thereafter, elections shall begin. The tentative schedule is to have nominations run through August 1st. Notification of nominees will be on or about August 2nd. Elections will be begin on or about August 7 and last until August 14th. I might recommend that if you are anticipating being nominated or have been told that you are, and you are planning to run, that you prepare your autobiographical statement and statement of moderation ahead of time. PLEASE, if discussing election or moderation issues on the board, preface your subject heading with "CCC Elections". This way, those who do not care to read about these issues can ignore them and vice versa.
