According to legend, the Trojan War started after some destructive plotting by Eris, the goddess of discord : http://hsa.brown.edu/~maicar/Eris.html It seems that Eris is active at the CCC sometimes. This always surprises me, because I have the delusion that computer chess is mainly for fun. Tell you what: you would be awestruck at how beautiful it is, especially at this time of year, here in Vancouver. Brilliant, hot sunshine is offset perfectly by cool, Pacific breezes. You could fall in love with life all over again ... or even with your fellow CCC members (hmmm, that might not be wise). I hereby invite all of you to spend your summer vacation in Vancouver, past site of the World Computer Chess Championship (198?) and one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. You can each buy me a beer! Mark :)
