This is false, ChessBase paid an amount of money, but his was not particularly large (at least after New In Chess reports). But still the novelty (bad or good) of the presence of a computer was enough to bring a lot of money from 3 other sponsors (the 3 S in the name Fritz SSS). refards Franz
