Perhaps a different version? possibly. Or different test methodologies. IE in "analyze" mode it turns off a lot of asymmetry. In normal "set up the position and play" mode it does not turn this off. I always test in normal play mode as that is how it would play in a real game, given that side to play and that time control. I made the change to analyze mode only because it is confusing to see it switch sides when commenting on games on ICC and the eval changes significantly. It still changes some, but not as badly as normal.
