For a rough guide, I would expect most programs to have comparable performances on different processors as in the following table at Tom's (not our Tom's) Hardware Guide: http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q2/000619/duron-08.html I think the Duron is also an interesting option if you don't want to spend too much money. For the more daring under us it can also be overclocked according to he same site but I don't believe the Durons can be put on a dual-procesor board? Eelco
