Hi,

The main goal of Faile has been to provide a strong, full featured chess program
with a clean, neat, easily understood source.. so Faile is never intended to be
"one of the big boys"

That being said, it's strength is about expert class on slower PCs ranging up to
master class on faster PCs. It is probably a good 200-300 points lower in
rating than Fritz and friends.

As to personality .. most of the comments I've gotten on its personality are
that it is much more fun to play against that the more developed engines, but at
the same time is not a slouch and will punish mistakes ;)

A few CFC expert/master friends of mine have played it some longish (in human
terms, not computer chess terms :P) series of test games at decent time controls
(such as 40/30 , or G/30 or G/60, etc) and Faile seems to be scoring over 60% in
all matches.

Hope that answers your question? If not, I will try explain better ;)

Regards,
Adrien.
