Is there some reason why I can't quote DB's MAX NPS? 2M-2.5M is Junior's
MAX NPS. It doesn't run that fast all the time. On my quad xeon, 1M is my
MAX NPS. I often drop to 1/2 of that. And in endings, to 1/10th of that.
Can I quote _my_ MAX to be comparable to what everyone _else_ with a
parallel search. Can I quote DB's MAX so that we _all_ speak the same
language and we are all consistent?

Or should I use their effective number because you like to use the smallest
possible number for them and the largest possible number for everybody else?

I like consistency. Not arbitrariness. Hsu tries to report the _real_ number
of his program. Nobody else does, although I have reported my numbers here
many times (approximately 3.2X faster on a quad, on several test suites).

Maybe next time you can post something factual, rather than one of your famous
contentless "wrong again" posts???
