This odd little opinion battle should also be somewhat tempered by the fact that
all the other free programs that have attempted to dethrone Crafty for years are
_not_ open source. And I sure get sick & tired of reading Crafty, Crafty, all
the time, but it's one very strong, versatile program.

And it may take some time before any free program, open source or not, will be
able to consistently beat Crafty, which is btw also about the most dependable
program out there. And Crafty is just the on surface measurement that we can
easily see of Bob, and that's just a rather shallow way to measure what he's
done when you consider that his experience in the field goes way the hell back
there, and he's been good enough to spend hours and hours of time educating
people like me (for free btw) just because we come along and ask him questions,
when if it were me, I'd loose patients and say "go away you idiot".

So, I mean, he doesn't need to be in everyone's top 5 or 10 picks, but it's
allot easier to argue that he belongs there, than it is to argue that he
doesn't. By far.

Pete
