My assumption that Kc4 lost was based both on the fact that the score was dropping and on the assertion made in this thread that Nd8 was the only winning move. I know very well that a score of +1.8 or -1.8 doesn't mean very much. After all, PostModernist had a score of > +8.00 in this game and still lost! It looks like I should have been more circumspect.
