In the last couple of weeks we have had exactly *ONE* moderator email on any topic. This email was received in the last few hours. The message the email was complaining about was deleted. If you or anyone else finds something to object to, you should use moderator email. I can't be plainer than that. As for the current debates on the Board, where would you start? One could easily delete fifty or a hundred or more messages (if you bear in mind that we delete messages that quote objectionable messages). Would that be a good thing? I happen to agree that the original "who is the best programmer?" post was likely to cause problems, but at least one other moderator posted a message where he said it was an interesting topic. A good question is, "Should the original post have been deleted as soon as a Moderator saw it?". I think it is *impossible* to find a "right" answer to this question. With hindsight, I might have deleted the original message. But I don't think it's right for a Moderator to delete posts just because they personally don't like them.
