NOt necessary at all.  In Cray Blitz, my "trade-down" bonus was just that, it
was a score that was added when a good trade happened.  Once the trade was
done, the score was not added again.  I do it a different way in Crafty, so
that the trade score stays around.  But this doesn't mean DB was a root
processor, as we _know_ it wasn't...
