Subject: CB 7.0 Cannibalising database

I have both Fritz 6.0 and CB 7.0 so I thought I’d cannibalize the Fritz database
and place the extra games into my reference database (CB 7.0). I got some
interesting results. After cannibalizing, CB 7.0 identified a little over
11,000 games not included in its database. However, after the copying process
was completed only a little over 1,000 games were ultimately added to the
reference library. Copy parameters were as follows: opening classification,
theme classification, don’t copy single doubles and always import VCs were all
checked.

Why didn’t the cannibalize process catch these duplicate games? The “detect
doubles algorithm” in CB 7.0 is fully explained but the cannibalize process
isn’t. I assumed it used a similar process. What am I missing?
