Reality check. Crafty is free in the sense that you don't have to pay for it. The license it comes with is rather restrictive though. I don't know by hearth if you are permitted to distribute modified copies without Robert's permission (too lazy too check ;), but I do remember he strengthened it because some guy was distributing a version which would spout abuse at you. -- GCP
