In this case the estimate will be less correct but I guess that it will still be more correct than the estimate only from the results. I think that by analyzing the game with another program I can see how much time they can avoid some blunders and guess how much it is faster or slower in tactics than other programs with known rating(if I see in the game that the program failed low and avoided a mistake after 1 minute and I find that top programs need 3 minutes to do the same then I can see that it is 3 times faster than top programs in the relevant position from the game).
