Sure - my little program (that took less than one hour to write) is not perfect.
 As you rightly point out it just assumes that white and black have a
probablility of winning 50% of the time.  This really isn't too bad an
assumption since it would be unfair to give one machine white more often.  Whta
it does show is that quite a few games need to be played in order to 'prove'
significance.
