Subject: why does chess Tiger play h6? and a6?

Rebel Tiger is a very strong program, but I have yet to understand why it plays
either h6 or a6 consistently everygame. I was playing one grandmaster today and
he rediculed the programs h3? a3? h6? a6? moves as black or white.
I remember when i was around 1400 I would often make this same uneccessary move.
What's strange is that tiger will play these moves even when there is No clear
threat of a Bishop Pin. Perhaps christopher can explain this odd behavior in
Tiger. These moves kind of reminds me of Chessmaster 4000, 50000, which used to
often play a Bh7+ with the queen and bishop battery, the move was completely
uneccessary, However whenever Chessmaster had a opportunity to make such moves
it would do so, It was possible to perdict it's behavior 100% in those type of
positions.
