A WinBoard compatible version of the danish program Gandalf will be released sometime in the nearby future. Presumeably after the Mindgames event. Look at the results from Frank's CCE tournament for an estimation of the strength. There's also Capture, Patzer and Zarkov, but I'm not sure if they're commercially available as WinBoard engines. I'm planning to purchase Gandalf when it's released, because it appears very strong and because it's a danish program. >As I heard shredder4 does not >have a winboard version.
