It was before the end of the tournament and the programmers did not want the opponents to know that they are playing against a new version. This was not fair because I guess that kasparov believed that he was playing against Genius2 and played based on the assumption that the opponent is going to do mistakes that Genius2 does. Genius3 has a clearly better rating by the ssdf list. There is not big difference between the rating of Genius3 and the later Genius programs. Uri
