It is perfectly possible to detect whether you are being played against using the autoplayer. So it would be perfectly possible to carry out certain actions under autoplayer conditions, but not under normal player conditions. And who is this program of Bobs ? I know who it can't be, because I play autoplayer games the whole time against a range of opponents, so its not: Chess System Tal (or any predecessor) Genius 3, Genius 5 (omission of G4 is not meant to mean anything, I've never owned it) Mchess 5,6 (ditto) Rebel 8,9 (ditto) Fritz 3 (ditto) Hiarcs 3,5 (ditto) Nimzo 3, 3.5 (ditto) Gandalf (ditto) It can't be various others, since they don't have autoplayer capability: ChessMaster 5000 (ditto) Genius Windows versions Fritz 5 Windows So who else is there ? Bob, I think you should support your allegation or withdraw it. BTW I play autoplayers on timeout of 30 minutes, so I won't pick up any longer timeouts than these. Chris Whittington
