Hi all, yesterday was the final day of my annual Summer Cup, a 3-month elimination tournament. Here are the results (40/120+rest/60 on 2 PIII-550, 256 MB; first to reach 5.5 wins): Fritz 6.0a - Chess System Tal 2.03 6.0:2.0 Junior 6.0a - Crafty 17.10 5.5:2.5 Nimzo 7.32 - Shredder 4.0 5.5:2.5 Chess Tiger 12.0en - Chessmaster 5555 5.5:4.5 Fritz 6.0a - Nimzo 7.32 6.5:5.5 (overtime) Junior 6.0a - Chess Tiger 12.0en 5.5:2.5 Fritz 6.0a - Junior 6.0a 5.5:4.5 Notes: Fritz and Crafty played with the Nimzo 7.32 book. Some observations: * Junior didn't lose any of its first 21 games, then went 1:4 in the last 5. * Fritz overcame a 2-game deficit both in the semifinals and in the finals, scoring 3.5:0.5 in the last 4 against Nimzo and 4.0:1.0 in the last 5 against Junior.
