That's right. Depending on the computer, 2 to 8Mb at 3 0 is the right value. I
would tend to suggest a value less than or equal to 4Mb. A too small hash table
will not hurt much, a too big one will certainly hurt.

That's right. In an intermediate, non published, version of Chess Tiger I had
included an algorithm that was able to set the hash table size to the best value
depending on the time control and the speed of the computer.

But actually this algorithm will not be in the next release (Chess Tiger 13),
because I have rewritten the hash table management and now Tiger can use very
big hash tables at any time control, even game in one minute.

Absolutely. So we will never see again (I hope) the question "how much hash
table size for Tiger?".
