This is a 12 CD set they offer, 90 US$ or 169 DM. at GambitSoft. The 10 CD set I saw for 149 DM at ChessBits, http://mitglied.tripod.de/ChessBits/marktplatz.htm. In the mean time I see now Enrique mentioned ChessBits as well. If I understood a post from Helmut Conrady in GambitSoft Forum correctly the twelve CD set has the K + three pieces against King on it which I do not see in the 10 CD table from ChessBits. In the German version of the Gambit Newspage they say that it has 5 three man, 30 four man and 110 five man endgames. Those extra endgames with three pieces against none will not occur often in practice I'm sure but maybe somebody wants to study them, KNNN v K. seems the most interesting. Total of 7.5 Gigabyte, 290 files. More information about tablebases, partly in English, at the ChessBits site. (http://mitglied.tripod.de/ChessBits/tablebase.htm) Latest news there is that Rebel will not participate in London because Jeroen Noomen unfortunately has fallen ill. Marcus Kästner writes there that the new Rebel was as yet unbeaten in their own test-suites also by the newest beta-versions of other well-known programs. Eelco
