I dont know about crafty participating in tourny but if it does. the I am sure
that BOB is not going there , he probably got someone to run the chess program
for him. and yes the rules have changed. If the author doesnt participate, then
he has to pay double admissing fees

i think you have anticipated the above statement wrong
here is what he said :-

he said "with the programs" but didnt say "along with the other chessbase
products". As we know Crafty is not a chessbase product just like SOS or
Goliath.
