Here is how to create a new opening book for Nimzo. This will work for Nimzo 98
and Nimzo 2000.
1) Create a book in opn format.
Example book.opn:
e2e4 e7e5 g1f3 b8c6
g8f6?f3e5
c5c5 g1f3 d7d6!d2d4 c5d4 f3d4
e7e6 d2d4 c5d4 f3d4
d2d4 d7d5
g8f6
I think it is possible with bookup to create such files.
2) Open Nimzo 98 or Nimzo 2000 and set it to player - player mode.
3) Press Ctrl-O (O for Opening not Zero). A file-dialog will open where you have
to select you *.opn opening file.
4) In the next dialog you can enter the name for the nimzo (*.nbk) book. Default
and suggested by the program is the name of the opn-File.
5) After confirming with OK Nimzo starts the conversion, which should take
approximately one minute per one megabyte of opn data.
6) After Nimzo has successfully converted the book he prompts a message telling
you how many moves he has imported from the opn-book. You will find the new book
in the books subdirectory of your Nimzo directory.
Have fun!
Greetings
Alex
