Some data from behind the scene:
The whole tournament is played in a pub. no wonder that the mood is very
good.
From the background I was able to hear people shouting and normal
pub-sounds.
It looks anybody has a good day. Mr.Karsten Bauermeister is operating
Shredder and says
that without the help of Ossi Weiner he would not have been able to let
Nimzo98 and
Shredder2 participate (Shredder is not yet sold in germany, as far as I
know...).
They avaited Virtual2 and Mchess7 but the programs did not arrived soon
enough.
Interesting for the discussions from rgcc and CCC:
some freaks let Rebel7 participate (2 programs !!) because they think
Rebel7 is stronger than
Rebel8 !!! So much to the discussions about WHICH VERSION IS STRONGER
Rebel7/8/9 ?
Milobarus is a special machine like the Mephisto wondermachine.
The mood seems to be very good. Shredder plays very strong. Good
endgames. Comes very
deep. The King 2.54=SCRATCH is a The King in a special setting done by
his operator
Mr.Kratz = in english Mr. SCRATCH.

I will try to get games scores soon !!! They have no internet access ,
but much beer there and
many of them seem not able to type a computer keyboard because of the
amount of beer they
have drunken !

Tomorrow at the same time we know more.

Final standings (after 7 rounds)/ Endstand (nach Runde 7):
1.Shredder2.0 6.5
2.Rebel7	[k6/225]	5
3.Fritz5 5
4.Virtual Chess1 5
5.Rebel9 4.5

23.Genius London 68030	1.5
24.Diogenes 0

So Shredder is the winner. Best wishes to Stefan !! The next editorial
in CSS will hopefully
not claim that shredder is not worth buying it :-)
Karsten wanted to say that Shredder is very very strong in playing the
endgame. He said:
you don't have to care if Shredder2 has a pawn less, he will turn the
game into a win or a
draw.
In the 6th round Shredder killed Nimzo98.
We will get the games later. Maybe Monday.
What a pity that Virtual2 was not fast enough released. But anyway,
Virtual1 did also a good
job. Karsten said they tested the MAC-Hiarcs. It was very very fast,
faster than a
Pentium2/266 MMX machine !! But the limited Hash-Tables of 3 MByte were
not that optimal,
he said.
In this tournament Fritz5 did a better job ! (Best wishes to ChessBase
:-)
The results of Rebel9 and Rebel7 are not much different.
Karsten told something that CSTal had problems with the book. In one
game it came out of the
book after 34 moves and it was an endgame position and although it said
+3 it did not win it.
In another position it came out of the book into a lost position. I
think we have to wait for the
game-scores. We can put them here in PGN if you want.

I will try to post the game-scores TONIGHT (in 6 hours) !
