It is very easy to understand:
all functions are connected with operands
Or, And, Not .

In the default it is AND when I am right.
So if you search for Kasparov and you don't give a color, he will search
for Kasparov playing with NO color. Search resault SERO !

If you input BLACK and WHITE and forget to switch the operand from AND
to OR, you will search for Kasparov playing with white against KAsparov
playing with black. Search result again SERO.

Please consider about this in a secret minute , and after you understood
it.
Try again !
It is very logical to me , although it is not very intuitively. The
programmer who has invented it was not a chess-player....maybe this
explains why he did not copied it all from ChessBase, but invented his
own wheel.
