Sheesh.. you make it sound like it's a new product, or that WinBoard Plus is
some huge improvement over WinBoard which was ugly and unbearable.

Polished? The reason why it's polished is that it's a small change to an
already stable program, and not enough changes have been made yet to break it.
Geez .. a whole menu doesn't show up under NT and needed to be bugfixed in a
further release, and you call it polished??

Well-designed? ??????? You give the praise of being well designed for some
minor style changes on the previous product and the addition of 2 or 3 minor
features to a program which has thousands of them?

I can understand stating your opinion about liking the style of WinBoard Plus
better, but making it out to be some terrific new program and heaping praise on
it seems incredible fickle, and disrespectful of all the work which Tim Mann put
into WinBoard.

Until such time as WinBoard plus has been extensively tested on a large variety
of systems for a long period of time and actually has some _major_ additions to
WinBoard, I won't even CONSIDER switching. To me, switching to WinBoard plus
now would make about as much sense as switching to a Crafty clone which has only
done a few minor tweaks to eval which has an ELO of 10 points higher than
vanilla Crafty over a testing period of like 2 games.

I hope this post hasn't come off as hostile or anything like that, but GEEEEEZ
does this fickle attitude of people switching to WinBoard plus after everything
that Tim has done for us, and with such little reason to do so, irk me beyond my
tolerance level!

Regards,
Adrien.
