If you read my statement correctly, I said I couldn't find anything really
different other than the menu items, and the black around the white peices.

It looks the same when I use my old winboard.ini file, the menu stays the same,
and all other options are not really what I use Winboard for. I do however like
the new menu. It simplifies thing quite a bit, which I like. I do not like to
many side scrolling menus, that to me is just clutter... If Winboard Plus has no
bugs as to operating chess engines over the internet, then I might switch.. but
I will always have Winboard installed....
