However, any serious chess program should not fall into such a "trap" and should show the mate instantly. For example Fritz engine "Doctor? 3.0" has no problems. At the position with Queen on e5 Fritz6 plays on tournament level the move 1.Dxe4 after a long 1:09:49. Still open questions here: What is the best move? Does White has an decisive advantage? What time do computers need to reach search depth 9 or deeper? Christoph
