Seriously, to beat strong humans who know a bit about your program, you can't afford to have weakness in any area at all, or they will zero in on it. You need enough knowledge to make reasonable moves in any position they might force you into. You also need speed to make sure you see that winning tactic when it comes up, because it may well be the only chance to win. You need both knowledge and speed.
