I might be terribly wrong but if I remember it right

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Bc4

was sometimes played by older Crafties with white and called the "Crafty Ruy" by
some .Nothing particularly wrong with this line , simply not very promising ;-)

But maybe by now Crafty has already contributed other and better novelties to
the Ruy ..
