I decided I couldn't wait to see how group one goes, so I ran it to its
conclusion.
Here is the final standings:

As expected, Crafty won, fairly easily. Goining into its last round match
against SOS it needed only -2 in that match to clinch a tie for first, which it
got in the first 5 games. A bad tourney for Comet, resulting in its demotion to
Group 2 for the next time I do this type of thing.
