I can hardly call Q5T my own creation, Ed. I am trying a bit to see if Eric Campos' incredible Q3 personality can be modified and mollified to play under Rebel Century 2.0 for ECTool. You posted the amazing result for the Morphy position which Q3 found in 6 seconds. It was not entirely clear to me but I think that was played with Q3 in the regular Century 1.0 from the CD-Rom? I made just one change so far, as a first try I increased Attractiveness by 50 points to 250 in Q3. More or less at random and then tested it with my favourite test-position, the position after 22. Rb5 in Rebel - Michael Rohde. [D]1r2r2k/1p4pp/1q1p4/1R1B1p2/1pPp4/4P1Pb/1P3P1P/Q3R1K1 b - - I really think Rebel should play 22.Qd8 here, not Qa6! I would really love to know if this personality can also play games, Ed, that's a bit cumbersome to organize under ECTool, there is no timing algorithm etc. But it is just one change, one would think some more testing is in order, just 11 positions tested so far. Q5T may fail miserably in other positions.. To be continued! Maybe its the same known interface problem , I believe Q3 also crashed. I run No Vesa with a Velocity 100 fom 3DFX, I don't know if that makes any difference. My notes say it crashes after 02:52:02 15.00 (+) Ng5-f3 (142813) 1.474.121.167, second time after 1.474.039.789 positions. Log Q5T about Rebel-Rohde: Rebel Engine for ECTool.
