I have no idea what's around. But I thought that in "London" you can go from one
place to the other without too much trouble... If you can find a place to rent a
monitor, chances are you can find a place to buy an old one.

The B&W monitor I bought in french very really light and smaller than a color
VGA monitor, it was no problem to carry it.

You should consider participating with you Nino handheld computer...

We should organize the "World Handheld Computer Chess Championship" (WHCCC). You
would come with your Nino, I would come with my Palm.

However I wonder which handheld could be used for Crafty... There are not many
64 bits handhelds with 10Gb hard disks around... :)
