Fritz5.32 opening book was generated out of strong GM games in an an automated way where Fritz 6 book was tuned by the computer opening expert Alexander Kure so I am pretty sure Fritz 6 book should be better 2.) I have never seen Chessbase claim that the Fritz5.32 book is better for Hiarcs than the original one. 3.) The updated book from the website , created as explained there ( with a wiped F5.32-book or some other GM-game-book as starting point , so maybe I simply misunderstood you here ) really seems to be much better for Hiarcs than the original one ( in fact it is very similar to the nice one of the DOS version then ). I am convinced it would be a bad idea to use it for Fritz as it is very well suited to the special Hiarcs style and often leads to very interesting strategic positions ( but I haven't tested this out ). regards , pete
