Chessmaster 7000, on a P3-800: #1: Spots the mate in less than a second -- 1.Nxc5 c2 2.Qe4+ Kc3 3.Qe1+ Kd4 4.Nf3++ #2: It also spots a mate in 5 in less than a second -- 1.e4+ Ke5 2.Nc6+ Kf4 3.Qc1+ Kf3 4.Qf1+ Ke3 4.Nc4++ But less than a second after that (total less than two seconds) it spots a mate in 4 -- 1.Bxa7 Kxd6 2.Nc4+ Kd5 3.Qe4+ Nxe4 4.Be6++ #3: Spots the mate in 8 in less than second -- 1.Qa7+ Bxa7 2.Nc7+ Kb8 3.Nxa6+ Ka8 4.Nc7+ Kb8 5.Kxd5+ Ka8 6.Nb6+ Bxb6 7.axb6+ Na6 8.Rxa6++ jm
