Pair them together in the first round. This should be done anywhere a company has two entries. IE in Jakarte, ICCA allowed "Gunda-1" a known crafty clone to enter. They paired them together in the first round to prevent any 'collusion' later in the tournament. Which makes perfect sense. Just let rebel play tiger in round one and then there will be no need for any wild speculation or rumors. Ditto for the ChessBase programs (not the freeware engines they distribute) since I have no interest in seeing any particular entry win, other than "crafty" of course.
