Diep has more knowledge than you can probably imagine. That on die
cache kicks really butt for it.

I have a PII and i have PIII.

If i divide the search times then i see the PIII to be 17% faster a Mhz
as the PII. That does not even take into account that both the PII
and the PIII run at the same bus. So actually the PIII is even faster
as 17%, because if i would multiply the PII with

800/450 then the bus would nearly run at 200Mhz for the PIII which isn't
the case. It sure would speedup diep however.

DIEP uses a search structure that has a search queue of size = 2mb,
from which only a part gets used, but still it's a lot. All kind of
tables from search and evaluation do NOT fit into 256kb for sure.

So more on die cache i would welcome :)

Really tempting is to buy the P3C-D with RIMMS 2.5 ns :)
