Subject: Can DVD facillitate much stronger programs?

Is there any way that strength of a chess playing program can be made greater by
making it on a DVD, instead of CD? Besides openings, and/or endgame tablebasses?
  I mean, can size of program possible on DVD if utilzed properly, contain much
more knowledge, each kind of knowledge being accesable when appropriate?
  If so, when will this be?
