All askhashsz does is ask you to set it. 0 = default as my config, therefore it accepts whatever hash size is set. Other numbers askhashsz=2 for ex: winboard pop up change hash too?. I have AskHashSz=0 the pop up happens when: Nimzo winning and even sometimes when it is slightly worse. If you are still in book then it may ignore it. But it cannot be left unattended on a server.
