This is what Alice had to say about the third position. Note that the times and
node counts after each iteration are *not* cumulative; I get a total time of
approx. 13 min. (In "mating mood" it took 12 sec.)
I realize that this doesn't compare to the times others get, but it's a start :)
The algorithm is vanilla (full width) alpha-beta with check extensions. It runs
on a K6-3 400 with 1M hash entries. It uses a simple board representation (no
bitboards yet, but that is top of the wish list).
(The additional '#' signs in the PV are a known error stemming from qsearch. The
other two positions weren't solved in reasonable time.)
