Subject: Is this a "dead" draw

Author: Hans Christian Lykke

Date: 03:53:19 08/21/00

I have just finished this game by the first danish E-mail championships.
White offered a draw after 36. Bxa5, meaning that it was a "dead" draw.
I was not sure, played on, and won.
The question is. Can white hold a draw.
What does you guys and your computerprograms say?
