After a chat with Georg Zimmerman, the number, corrected for faulty move ordering, forward pruning, nullmove etc... is 15 years. So you could say that Alphabeta improvements have won us a decade. PPS. The data was for crazyhouse...I would have no idea how to even estimate the numbers for bughouse. -- GCP
