(Sorry, a wrong click :-) )
Hello,
you are right, I have tested swissperfect and it produces the same
pairings :
Francesca (1,5) - Crafty (2)
ZChess (2) - Xinix (1)
Pacque Expert (0) - SOS (2)
Insomniac (1,5) - Diep (1)
As you can see, the opponents have all different scores!
The important point is that players with 2 points don't play
together (it is still possible : ZChess - SOS ).
And this group of players is the one who has priority.
So this pairing does not respect completely FIDE rules.
The pairing program of the french chess federation would do :
ZChess (2) - SOS (2)
Insomniac (1,5) - Crafty (2)
Francesa (1,5) - Pacque Expert (0)
Xinix (1) - Diep (1)
this is more satisfying.
Anyway, better use a software (even if it is not "perfect" :-) :-)
than letting Mr Van den Herik do the pairings by hand!
Best regards,
Sylvain Renard (official arbiter of the french chess federation)
